A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to head down to Miami for about 36 hours with one of my best friend and fabulous Charlotte Photographer. With my travel business I like to check out the places I send to clients to make sure they are all up to par with expectations. After all the best advertising is a happy client, right? Eden Roc/ Nobu Miami Beach hotels are ones that I get asked about all the time. Everyone’s first question is… have you been? It’s fine for so things to say “no, but my colleague/ friends have…” but it’s even better to give them your first hand account. So on we went. There are worst places that my work could have taken me, right ;-)?!? The hotel is beautiful. It’s on Collins Avenue in heart of South Beach so the location is ideal.
PREPARING for the VACATION
I love preparing for vacations. It’s one of the reasons I became a travel planner. From planning the details, to packing, to getting my spray tan, manicure and pedicures, I love it all. Getting ready to go out of town is crazy enough without having to worry about running extra errands. For my spray tan, I call Emily Musgraves with Glo by Emily and she comes to my home to give me my vacation-ready glow! It’s easy and you only have to stop what you are doing for about 10 minutes for Emily to do her thing and then you are back to packing, tending to kids, work…. whatever you need to do. She, for sure, makes my life so much easier. Check out the end of this post for a fun giveaway and what to do if you want $5 off your Glo by Emily!
DURING OUR STAY
We stayed at the hotel the entire length of our trip to Miami. I learned the ends and outs of both the Nobu Hotel and Eden Roc. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The lobby has it’s very own Starbucks. Extensive room service menu is available all the time. There are 3 pools to chose from plus a beautiful beach with chairs + towels available for you to use. There is a spa, salon, and fitness area with relaxation rooms, plunge pools, saunas and 18 treatment rooms. It is the perfect to relax and take a break from the sun and sand.
FOOD + DRINKS
Being in the same hotel as a Nobu doesn’t suck for sure. If you read my blog for a while, you know that I go to one whenever I get the chance. Eden Roc also had a brand new organic, farm-to-table restaurant called Malibu Farms. The food was amazing and their cocktails were spectacular. There was an extensive list of drinks made with the freshest, all- natural ingredients. We have a few and they were all so delicious. The head bartender even made my friend a special drink (of his own creation) when she told him a few ingredients that she liked. We got to name it and called it the “Spicy E”, after her of course. We enjoy room service a couple of times because the weather was not great while we were there. Everything was yummy and the service was terrific.

WHAT I WORE
Now here are some fun outfit ideas for Miami or wherever you might be headed this summer. There are a couple of splurge items but I also got some things for a steal.
This outfit is great for a nice lunch or site-seeing around town. The t-shirt can be thrown on with jeans or cut-offs.
This simple black jumpsuit cover-up is so comfortable. I don’t love jumpsuits normally but this one for pool days is very flattering. The wide legs are breezy so it’s great for hot summer temperatures.
This dress is easy to throw on as a casual outfit or you could dress it up if you wanted to.
I adore this beautiful festive set! Perfect for Miami or any island you might be headed to on your vacation. I wear it together or you can easily pair each piece separately.
