I have rounded up some of my most asked about outfits from July and compiled them into this one big, picture-filled post for you all. Quite a few of my favorites are on sale too! First, are some of what I packed for Mexico. I also included what I wore in Asheville when we took and picked up the boys from camp. July is a great month to find summer things on sale which is terrific if you go on vacation later in the summer or have a fall trip planned somewhere warm. Last summer I stocked up on summer sale items since we were headed to Cabo in October.
This black and white jumpsuit has been a favorite all over Instagram. Why? It’s comfortable, roomy enough to eat what you want and still look cute at the end. I generally can’t pull off jumpsuits. I have a long torso and once I get it long enough, generally it’s too big somewhere else. But this one was the exception. I’m wearing a small but I could have gone with X-Small but I wanted the extra length. It comes in a couple of other colors but of course I was drawn to the black and white.
This dress is what I would call a statement dress. It’s so vibrant and really beautiful. It definitely stands out in the crowded makes a great date night dress or take it on vacation somewhere tropical.
The dress I will for the 4th will be a easy one to transition by just throwing my favorite denim jacket over it.
I am still living for all things camo these days, like this t-shirt (that I now own in 3 colors!) and some extra soft shortalls.
Hollins favorite thing to do, besides wear my make-up, is dress alike. Twinsies, she calls us. I know this time won’t last long so I am happy to oblige. We have both been obsessed with overalls lately and these are even better because they are each under $25
Hollins Shortalls ($18)
So, when I picked out this adorable t-shirt from Anthropologie with the lips, I just thought it was cute. After I posted it on Instagram I found out the lips had been drawn by a local North Carolina artist, Ann Howell Bullard. It just made me love it even more! If you click on her name, it will take you to all of her pieces at Anthro.
Here are a few great transition outfits for easing into fall. They are great when you are ready for fall but it is still super hot outside and cold inside from the air conditioning being on tilt. It’s a great way to show off your summer- tan legs too!
Fall date night are just around the corner and I found a dress that could work now with wedges or sandals and later with your favorite booties or over-the-knee boots. It comes in 2 additional colors. Now, I’m 5’7″ and this works as a dress on me. If you are taller, it would probably be a tunic. But with fall coming up, I really think that work great over jeans or leggings.
This adorable bow clutch comes in 4 different colors. I, personally, have it in pale pink (shown above) and black.
What do you want to see on the blog for fall? Date night outfits, momiforms, travel style? All of the above? Let me know!
