Blogging has not only taught me a lot but it has allowed me to meet some amazing woman that I now call my friends. I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot with three other local Charlotte bloggers and a fabulous local photographer that I love last week! We all clicked and had so much fun getting to know each other more. There were lots of laughs- and not just the fake-blogger kind of laugh for pictures, though we did that too! With Christmas just a week away, we wanted to share with you our favorite looks for all holiday parties. We each have our own unique style which you can see as you check out the pictures. LOOK ONE
Our first look was a casual one. These outfits would be great for an oyster roast, football watching, cookie exchange or a family trip to get presents or a tree! Plaid is a super fun and easy pattern to add to your wardrobe. Its festive, but also works all year long so you don’t feel like you are buying the pieces for just one occasion.

Here are a few other plaid items I love that you can pick up this week!
LOOK TWO
For look two, we took our outfits up a notch. They are fun and festive, dressy but not TOO dressy. You can wear these to church, holiday parties or date night. To me, velvet just screams holiday! I love incorporating it into my outfits. For this outfit I chose a velvet purse and my favorite boots to go with my comfy sweater (mine is from Boem but I linked the same one in a different color below!) and slightly sparkly skirt. Can you believe this skirt is under $100? I found it at Nordstrom and think it would work for anyone.

LOOK THREE
Who doesn’t love some sequins?! Ok, maybe not everyone! But I do! I think anyone can pull off a look with sequins. You just have to decide how much you want to sparkle. Honestly, I LOVE this dress and love that I can pair it with an easy, warm sweater. But you could also spice it up by wearing it all by itself. Throwing on your favorite denim jacket could make it a little more casual. I got mine at local Charlotte boutique Boem but I have also linked below an online retailer that you could get it from in 2-3 days. I chose over the knee boots for added warmth, but you could also do some fun heels depending on the occasion. This would look great for New Years Eve or a fancy Christmas party.

So tell me- what was your favorite look? What is your favorite type of clothing for the holidays? Sequins, plaid, velvet??

Love the multicolored sequin dress but I need longer. So I love the Silver sequined skirt Could dress it up or down. Also like the red plaid with black. Great style blog post, Josephine.
